About This Event

As the Indians become the Guardians, and as Kendal at Home expands its mission and membership from Cleveland to other great baseball towns- including Boston- please join journalists and historian Gordon Edes (Boston) and a colleague from Cleveland to explore the rich history of a rivalry which has led to some memorable baseball moments- on and off the field. You'll have a chance, too, to find out about Gordon's longtime involvement with the Jimmy Fund and have an opportunity to join the Kendal at Home Team for the Jimmy Fund Walk on Sunday, October 5 AND all attendees of the talk will be eligible to win one of 2 pairs of tickets to the Cleveland-Boston series in August and September. About Gordon Edes Gordon Edes has been a reporter for 35 years, the last 18 covering the Boston Red Sox for the Boston Globe and ESPN.com. A native of Lunenburg, Mass., Gordon was appointed in November to the position of team historian, succeeding the late Dick Bresciani. Gordon also serves as strategic communications advisor for Fenway Sports Group. About Kendal at Home A Quaker-based not-for-profit organization, Kendal at Home offers you autonomy, dignity and peace of mind, while providing immediate flexibility, choices, and financial protection.
